John McQuillan (Contracts) Ltd has experience
in the construction of multi sport play pitches.
Within the past year we have constructed 3 pitches using open textured Bitmac supplied by Edentrillick Quarry covered with a polymeric rubber sports surface.

The company has carried out all excavation, drainage and surfacing works using in-house labour and plant, laying the Bitmac binder and surface cause to fine tolerances. Fencing, rubber surface application and flood light installation have been carried out by our partner contractors who specialise in these areas. Examples of contracts completed include;

In 1990 new European Regulations came into force
regarding playgrounds and play areas and following this John McQuillan
acquired the license for Specialist Safety Surfacing including
rubberised wet pour mixtures and preformed dry tiling. Since that
they have constructed many new playgrounds for Belfast City Council
and upgraded many of the older playgrounds to comply with the new
safety regulations.
