McQuillan Waste’s aim is to ensure that
waste is handled in line with the waste management hierarchy, with
recycling and recovery
being the preferred option. Wastes that cannot be segregated at the
customer’s site are sent to a Materials Recycling Facility
(MRF), where waste is sorted and recyclable material such as plastic,
rubble,
wood, metal and glass is segregated. Residual material unsuitable
for recycling is sent to landfill as the last option. |
